Do you love sports? Would you enjoy a career as a TV sports journalist? Have you dreamed about being a TV sports anchor or calling a last second, game winning shot on radio or television? This is your chance to learn how to become a sports broadcaster at the nation’s premier Sports Broadcasting Camp for boys and girls ages 10-18.

Monday
9am Introduction

12:00-1pm Lunch

2-3pm Interactive Activity

Tuesday
9am-4pm Camp splits into 3 groups and rotates between stations
9am-12 Group 1 – Making sports anchor tapes on camera, sports talk radio shows on camera, voicing over ESPN Highlights, and making sports reporting tapes.

Group 2 – Doing play-by-play of the Superbowl, World Series, NBA and NCAA finals, Stanley Cup, as well as participate in our trivia contest.

Group 3 – hosting mock sports talk radio shows with Paul Jolovitz and Stump the Schwab.

12-1 Lunch
1-4 Groups Rotate
Wednesday
9-12am Groups rotate to last station
12-1pm Lunch
1-4pm Begin new stations.   Group 1 – Making PTI tapes on camera, pre/post game shows on camera, using the play-by-play machine, and making sports talk radio shows on camera.

Group 2 -Participating in PTI tournament, sports taboo and password games.

Group 3 – Playing sports family feud as well as sports jeopardy.

1pm *Camp favorite “Coach” Willie Maye stops by camp with gifts as always.
Thursday
9-10am Kevin Walsh from SportsNet visits
10-4pm Groups continue rotating stations
Friday *Camp Concludes at 3pm
9-10:30am ESPN’s Michael Smith
10:30-1pm Leave for Fenway Park Tour
1-2pm Lunch
2-3pm Camp Concludes
*Overnight activities include Wiffle Ball, basketball, etc
