Meet the Staff

  • Jeremy Treatman

    FOUNDER & CO-CEO

    Jeremy founded Play By Play Sports Broadcasting Camps in 2002 and is currently a Co-Director. He is responsible for camp programming, instruction and introducing celebrity guests. Jeremy also speaks to students at schools across the country about the sports broadcasting industry and assists camp alumni seeking internships and jobs through his network of athletes and sports tv/radio personalities.

    Jeremy has enjoyed a 25-year sports radio, television and journalism career, starting as a reporter on the Inquirer High School Sports Show on Fox-29 Philadelphia from 1994 to 2001. He served in play-by-play and color commentary roles for Comcast from 2000-2014. Currently, Jeremy is the sports editor of Liberty City Press and has written sports for many local and national publications since 1989. He most recently was a co-host of a Philadelphia Eagles show that ran on 610-AM. Read about Jeremy on Philly.com.

    Jeremy also founded the Scholastic Play by Play Classics, organizing, operating and televising high school and college basketball tournaments nationwide. Over 120 competitors have made it to the NBA including LeBron James, Dwight Howard and Kevin Durant. He currently runs or has run the Kobe Bryant Classic, the LeBron James Classic, Jameer Nelson Classic, and Kyle Lowry Classic and is involved as a promoter and announcer of the Allen Iverson All-Star Game.

    Jeremy attended Washington University (MO) and earned a degree in communications from Temple University.

  • Steven Goldstein

    CO-CEO

    Steven is a Co-Director of Play By Play Sports Broadcasting Camps. He is responsible for handling the camp's marketing and advertising campaigns, logistics and operations in all camp cities across the country. Steven also helps to drive recruitment of potential campers.

    Steven has an extensive background in sports and entertainment event management. Over the years, he has produced events for active and former NFL players including Brandon Graham, Jeremy Maclin, Brian Westbrook, Jon Runyan and Jeremiah Trotter.

    Steven received his bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and holds a master’s degree in sports management from Springfield College.

  • Jena Polyak

    DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL MARKETING

    Jena is the Director of Digital Marketing at Play By Play Sports Broadcasting Camps. She is responsible for all Play By Play Camps social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and TikTok (@playbyplaycamps). Jena also handles all of the graphic design and photography for the camps.

    Jena joined the team in November 2018. She graduated from West Chester University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and minors in both music and French. She grew up going to Sixers games as a kid with her dad and cheering on the birds every Sunday!

  • Zeke Sprague

    DIRECTOR OF CAMPER OUTREACH

    Zeke is the Director of Camper Outreach at Play By Play Sports Broadcasting Camps. He is responsible for camp outreach to educators and youth sports groups to provide their students with more information on sports broadcasting as a career. Zeke also runs many of our virtual camp activities as well as the in-person overnight camp activities during the summer.

    Zeke joined the team full-time in summer 2022, however he’s been involved with the camp in some aspect since the very beginning. He started as a camper during the first few years of the camp’s existence and continued on as a counselor for seven different summers. His favorite part of being a counselor was being involved in making the camper experience as enjoyable as possible and seeing those campers go on to have successful careers in the sports broadcasting industry.

    While Zeke was a counselor, he spent time as a play-by-play announcer for colleges around the Philadelphia area, mostly doing football, baseball and basketball, while doing other sports as well along the way. He also has experience hosting a sports talk radio show as well as producing shows for a South Jersey talk radio station.

    Zeke is excited to grow the camp and the field of sports broadcasting by getting the next generation ready for the future of broadcasting!

  • Neil Hartman

    CAMP DIRECTOR

    Neil is a Camp Director at Play By Play Sports Broadcasting Camps in multiple cities. He was an award-winning television sportscaster in Philadelphia for nearly three decades prior to making the transition to content development and higher education.

    Neil created his own company, Talow Media Group, a full-service production company specializing in unscripted sports programming for all platforms — ranging from linear to digital. Among Neil’s credits are The Haney Project and Golf in America — both highly successful series on Golf Channel, which he created and co-produced. Neil was also involved in projects with Netflix, Showtime and MLB Network.

    Neil is also the Director for the Center for Sports Communication and Social Impact at Rowan University where he mentors students and brings notable speakers to the Glassboro, NJ campus.

    Neil spent nearly 20 years as prime-time anchor for Comcast SportsNet where he received multiple Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards and was honored by The National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association as the state of Pennsylvania’s Sportscaster of the Year. Before joining CSN, he served as sports anchor and reporter in Philadelphia for KYW-TV as well as WPHL-TV and was named "Best of Philly" Sports Talk Show Host by Philadelphia Magazine while working for WPHT-AM. He also spent five years as a talk-show host for sports-radio WIP.

    A graduate of Ithaca College, Neil has been an active supporter of Coaches versus Cancer and a longtime board member of his community youth baseball organization.

  • Adam Giardino

    CAMP DIRECTOR

    Adam Giardino joined the staff for the 2020 Summer Session. Since 2018, the Franklin, Ma. native has been the Media Relations Manager/Broadcaster for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A, New York Yankees). Prior to that he spent five years with the Trenton Thunder (Double-A, New York Yankees), a year with the Lakewood BlueClaws (Single-A, Philadelphia Phillies) and two years as an intern with the Pawtucket Red Sox (Triple-A, Boston Red Sox) across his decade in Minor League Baseball.

    A 2011 graduate of the University of Connecticut, Giardino spends time outside of baseball season broadcasting games for a number of Division-I schools in New England including Harvard, Brown, Holy Cross, Northeastern, Providence College and his alma mater – UConn. Specifically with UConn, he is part of the Learfield/IMG broadcast team on ESPN Radio for UConn Football and Men’s Hockey, and fills-in on Women’s Basketball broadcasts as well.
